Rite of Catholic Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

General Overview:

RCIA is a process in which adults learn about the Catholic Church and what it teaches.  It is an opportunity to walk with others, hear of parishioner experiences, and gather information to allow them to determine if they are hearing “Truth”.  At Blessed Sacrament, we generally meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00, from September to June.  Although there are points provided along the process for one to make an internal decision to continue, full commitment comes only at the Easter Vigil Mass when one receives the Sacraments and makes the commitment to fully and actively join the Roman Catholic Church - there is no "hard sell".  You decide.

Specific Information:

If you think you might be interested in joining the next group, just call the office (528-7521) and let them know; or, contact Deacon Dave (below) - you're most welcome!  We are now forming the next group which will begin the "journey" on September, 7th, 2017 with a "Come & See" night.  Our "happy little band" meets at the Blessed Sacrament Rectory basement meeting room (1725 S. Walnut St.) on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  Come join us!
